Tuff Chin’s no slip design custom molds to fit your chin, and helps prevent the chin cup from sliding up your face or down your neck. Air channels clear heat and drain perspiration, preventing sweat pooling and bacteria build-up. The Soft Chin liner offers absolute comfort. The Tuff Chin has two separate pieces that are detachable. (1) a firmer but flexible outer shell (2) a soft liner that offers comfort, custom fitting. Both pieces are interchangeable.

You simply run your headgear straps through the slots on the exterior shell, position it to center on your chin, and then attach the soft insert, secure your strap in the headgear, buckle up, and you’re ready! We knew there was a glaring need for a better performing and fitting chin cup. Existing standard chin cups are poorly designed, use cheap materials, deficient in performance, uncomfortable, have health concerns, and offer less protection and overall safety. The standard chin cup has not changed in decades.

Yes Tuff Chin® is washable. You simply detach the soft inner liner to wash. You can also wash the exterior shell while it is attached to the straps, or take it off the straps, clean, and reattach. When we designed it, one of the desired features was to make it washable. This allows you to keep it clean from sweat build-up, bacteria, and avoid contracting contagious skin infections, rashes, ailments, allergies, etc.

Tuff Chin® was designed with performance, comfort, health and safety in mind. The breathable design expels heat, sweat, and bacteria. There is no pooling of sweat in your chin cup that causes bacteria build-up. Also, Tuff Chin is detachable and washable, so you can clean the soft liner or the entire chin cup after every match. Since there is better hygiene with Tuff Chin than standard chin cups, it can help prevent things like rashes, skin infections, ringworm and other ailments associated with wrestling.

Currently we only off combinations of white and black exterior shells and liners. However, offering Tuff Chin in a variety of colors is in the plans, both external shells and internal liners. This way you can mix and match colors to match your team colors, individual colors, for special events, or your own individual mat style!

Currently we only have black and white combinations in stock for everyday purchase. However, please submit a Custom Team Gear Order request, and we will contact you to discuss the school or team colors you wish to use and provide you with a quote.

Yes the Tuff Chin exterior shell and liner are available for purchase individually. This allows you to alternate colors, have a backup for existing chin cup, or as a replacement for lost or damaged shells or liners. Visit our shopping page to see the packages available.

There is a one year limited warranty. If either the external shell or interior liner become damaged from normal use, we will replace them. Send us a picture of your damaged chin cup, along with a receipt or proof of purchase date, and we will examine them to determine the warranty status or the damage in question. Along with any previous history, we will determine if your damaged chin cup would be considered under the warranty. Even if it is not eligible for warranty coverage, we have great replacement options.

Tuff Chin dedicates itself to providing you with the highest quality product, and want you to be completely satisfied with your product purchase. If there is a reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from tuffchin.com, we want to make it right. You may return your Tuff Chin chin cup for credit within 30 days of purchase. All returns must be unused in their original condition for a credit to be issued.

If you purchased your Tuff Chin product with a credit card, a credit (minus applicable shipping fees) will be issued to your card.
